Capacity Building Program: Driving Productivity Growth through Progessive Wage Policy
MPC collaborating with SNEF, hosted a successful capacity-building program sharing Singapore's expertise in implementing the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) and Wage Setting, fostering fair prosperity, especially for low-wage workers. Stakeholders from various ministries and industries gathered to explore adapting PWM to Malaysia's context.
Participants gained insights to establish a similar model in Malaysia, aligning with national productivity and competitiveness goals outlined in initiatives like the 12th Malaysia Plan, NIMP 2030, NETR, and Ekonomi MADANI. By leveraging Singapore's experience, this collaboration underscores a strategic approach towards enhancing labor standards and economic development in Malaysia.

Sesi ini merupakan kesinambungan daripada siri bengkel yang telah dianjurkan di tiga lokasi utama iaitu Kuching, Miri dan Bintulu pada bulan Februari dan Mac 2025. Sesi Perkongsian ini juga telah menghimpunkan 40 wakil daripada kementerian, jabatan serta agensi awam persekutuan dan negeri, yang secara aktif memberikan input dan pandangan untuk memperkukuh hasil kajian agar lebih selari dengan aspirasi dan polisi pembangunan negeri.

Another AI for Productivity Transformation session was conducted in Puchong, bringing together participants—mostly members of Dewan Perniagaan Islam Malaysia (DPIM)—for an immersive session on leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance business productivity. The session began with the AI Discovery phase, introducing participants to the fundamentals of AI, global trends, and accessible tools tailored for entrepreneurs and enterprises. This foundational knowledge helped participants understand how AI can revolutionize business operations and drive productivity in the digital era. The program will continue with the AI Implementation phase, where participants are expected to apply AI tools within their business contexts. The effectiveness of these efforts will be measured through a Productivity Impact Report, ensuring tangible and trackable improvements. A practical, hands-on workshop was also conducted using tools such as CanvaAI, Google Analytics AI, and Google Sites. These tools enabled participants to improve brand visibility, analyze customer behavior, and automate content creation—leading to more efficient, data-driven, and productive business practices.

Retail & F&B Productivity Nexus (RFBPN) telah menganjurkan kursus latihan kecerdasan buatan (AI) kepada ahli Persatuan Pengusaha Restoran Muslim Malaysia (PRESMA) bagi memperkasakan pemahaman dan aplikasi teknologi AI dalam operasi perniagaan restoran. Program ini memberi pendedahan kepada peserta tentang konsep asas AI, pengenalan dan penggunaan ChatGPT untuk tujuan penjadualan, komunikasi, dan pengurusan tugasan harian. Latihan turut melibatkan elemen hands-on termasuk pembinaan prompt, automasi tugas pentadbiran, dan penyediaan pelan tindakan penggunaan AI di premis masing-masing. Melalui kursus ini, peserta didedahkan kepada cabaran dan strategi penerapan AI secara berperingkat, dengan penekanan terhadap etika, privasi data, serta perubahan budaya kerja. Inisiatif ini dijangka meningkatkan kecekapan operasi serta daya saing pengusaha restoran dalam era digital.

The company is specializing in Industry 4.0 solutions especially for the semiconductor sector, discussed their involvement in EXPO 2025 Osaka, Japan with MPC. Following the discussion, Advantech presented their capabilities in Industry 4.0 through their demo section, showcasing innovative solutions that highlight their role in driving technological advancements in the sector. This event provided valuable insights into Advantech's contributions to the industry innovation.
