The project titled "Project to Improve the Efficiency of Sarawak Digital Infrastructure: Process, Procedure & Guideline (PPG) on Telecommunication Tower" aims to foster fairness, transparency, and efficiency within the telecommunications industry. Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) and Casemix systems in healthcare categorize and reimburse hospital services based on diagnoses, procedures, and resources utilized during a patient's stay. These systems aim to standardize payments, enhancing resource allocation and cost management. The MPC Sarawak Regional Office, in collaboration with the Private Healthcare Productivity Nexus, conducted a capacity development program for Normah Medical Specialist Centre. This program provided hands-on guidance for using the Casemix system, crucial for standardized classification and payment in healthcare management. The generated cost information from this system aligns with the government's RM200 million allocation for outsourcing activities, aiding policymakers in budgeting. Furthermore, Normah Medical Specialist Centre can plan and monitor healthcare service effectiveness in a precise, transparent, and data-driven manner, thereby optimizing service delivery.
