The Productivity Report 2024 emphasizes Technology, Regulation, and Talent as the critical drivers of productivity. It provides a comprehensive analysis of Malaysia's productivity performance and outlines key recommendations for boosting national productivity. The report advocates for all levels of government to adopt Good Regulatory Practice (GRP) and improve the ease of doing business, minimising regulatory compliance shocks and unpredictability. It urges businesses to adopt modern management and technology to reduce costs and emphasises the need for employees to upskill and reskill continuously.
Additionally, the report calls for bridging productivity gaps among Malaysian states to ensure inclusive and balanced economic growth, with every public and private sector stakeholder playing a role in boosting productivity at the district and state levels. This holistic approach aims to create a more productive, competitive, and resilient economy, positioning Malaysia for sustained growth and development.
