The insights gathered will subsequently facilitate the identification of companies requiring high-skilled talent. In response, Akademi Dalam Industri (ADI) is positioned as a strategic intervention to address workforce gaps and support industry needs, thereby alleviating organisational challenges. The session commenced with welcoming remarks by Dr. Mazlina Shafi’i, Director of MPC, followed by a presentation on the Overview of the Sarawak Economy & Key Productive Sectors delivered by Dr. Mohd Khairul Hisyam, Deputy Dean of UNIMAS. Participating participants are from diverse industries—including oil & gas, services, manufacturing, plantation, and agriculture—engaged in productive discussions that successfully identified key challenges within Miri’s labour market. Dr. Mazlina also highlighted other strategic initiatives, including Akademi Dalam Industri (ADI) and the Online Assessment of Business Excellence through ezBE. Moving forward, further engagement sessions on ADI will be conducted with participating companies, alongside an online consultation session on ezBE to enhance business excellence practices.
